Program Description
Our flagship youth program offers year-round music education to underserved children and teens ages 3 to 17. Built on a holistic model, the program weaves together individual and group music lessons, choral activities, instrumental training, and performance opportunities with essential academic and personal development support.
At ANAM Liberia, we are committed to nurturing the whole child—musically, spiritually, creatively, and academically. While our core focus remains high-quality music education rooted in Liberia’s rich cultural heritage, we have expanded the program to include literacy support and homework assistance. These services help students build strong reading and writing skills, stay on track with schoolwork, and gain confidence in the classroom.
Recognizing the critical role nutrition plays in learning and development, we also provide daily nutritious meals to all participants. These meals ensure students have the energy and focus they need to fully engage in both musical instruction and academic activities.
Through this integrated approach—combining music, literacy, and nutritional care—ANAM empowers children to grow into creative leaders, active learners, and agents of change in their communities.

This program introduces students to learn to play various instruments by ear, focusing on ear training, chord progressions, and creative expression. Students learn to play and improvise without reading sheet music. This track is ideal for those who do not wish to read sheet music.
- Worship and Leadership This program equips students with the skills to lead worship and build their leadership abilities in music ministry. It covers the foundations of worship, weekly planning in worship, congregational song-leading, and team leadership for music ministries. It is designed for aspiring church musicians and worship leaders.

Safe & Supportive Spaces:

Program Description
The Agape National Academy of Music (ANAM) is proud to announce the launch of its Girls Music Education & Leadership Program in January 2026—an empowering initiative designed to give young girls in Liberia the opportunity to grow as musicians, scholars, and future leaders.
Through a combination of high-quality music education, leadership development, and literacy support, this program will offer girls from under-resourced communities the tools to thrive both academically and artistically. It will also create safe and supportive spaces where girls can build confidence, develop their voices, and become changemakers in their communities.
This program is urgently needed in Liberia, where many girls face limited access to quality education, gender-based violence, poverty, and social inequality. ANAM’s new initiative responds to these challenges by investing in the full potential of Liberia’s girls—through mentorship, community engagement, and access to the arts.
How It works

ANAM will identify participants through a nationwide outreach campaign in partnership with women- and girl-led organizations and local schools.

Informational sessions and open house events will be hosted at ANAM’s Monrovia campus to ensure broad community engagement and accessibility.

Selected participants will receive intensive training in music performance, theory, ensemble work, public speaking, and leadership skills.
